Interlude project: Towards new digital musical instruments and gestural interactions
Interlude was a research project supported by the French National Research Agency (ANR) (with additional support from Cap Digital), from Dec. 01 2008 to au July 31 2011, programme Digital Content and Interactions.
Original title project: Nouveaux paradigmes numériques pour l’exploration et l’interaction gestuelle expressive avec des contenus musicaux
The project consortium was formed of :
- Two centers for music research: Ircam (project coordinator) and Grame
- Designers specialized in digital products and interaction: NoDesign.net
- A company designing and manufacturing digital musical instruments: Dafact
- A video game company: Voxler
- A music school: Atelier des Feuillantines
